Announcement: Doing Business For Good

give featured

As the world starts to unravel the massive underground world of business that takes advantage of the underprivileged and the poor around the globe in the Panama Papers, I wanted to announce a new effort to help raise money through business activity to help. I call it Doing Business for Good.

The program will build websites and apps meant to generate leads for various industries. If you’re unfamiliar with this concept, the lead generation industry finds people interested in a type of service or product and sells access to their information to businesses who want to turn them into customers.

This type of business model is prevalent in auto insurance, finance, real estate, auto sales, marketing and business services, and luxury good industries. If you’ve ever filled out an online application on a website for a service like these and gotten contacted by a different company either via email or a phone call then you’ve participated in lead generation.

There are tons of websites that say they’ll find you a deal by looking at different companies. When you fill out the form those websites then sell access to the form data to one or more companies in that industry. For example if you fill out a form on a website that promises to help you get a deal on car insurance and then you get contacted by a GEICO agent, a State Farm agent, and a Nationwide agent.

When one of our websites gets paid for a generated lead we’ll take a set percentage of that payment and set it aside to donate to a non-profit. Each service will donate to a different set of causes and the percentages will be set differently for each website.

DBFG websites and services will strive to do these things:
1. Encourage entrepreneurship & education locally and work to improve local economies, not impede them.
2. Donate money to non-profit groups that match our ethos.
3. Provide secure and impeccable services.
4. Be transparent.

Our first project is already online and you can help us out by helping us spread the word. Check out the RPS Relocation Ultimate Moving Checklist and share it on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc…
