Local marketers and business owners from California, to Dallas, to Canada have hit the ground running with Google’s latest video generation model called “Veo 3” which is available in Google’s AI video editor “Flow”. We’re seeing a lot of creativity in building new marketing campaigns that simply weren’t possible for a local business to create before like fighting a Yeti for perfect skin or a skydiving drunk Bigfoot knocking out his teeth. Right now most of this appears to be in good fun, but it signals the explosion of a new creativity wave. Small business owners, long reliant on an army of art producing creatives, can now quickly toss ideas into a video generator for an ad and maybe get something useful out either to run as a paid video ad or to help gain social media notoriety.
“Drunk Skydiving Bigfoot” – Sargon Dental in Encino, California
This video has racked up over 500,000 views on the clinics Instagram account, far eclipsing their average for views. While the jury is out on how well this video drives new clients into the dental clinic it comes across as professionally done, smooth, and fits in a marketing message for the clinic all in a tight 37 seconds. Where the video fails is using actual shots of the clinic’s building and interior, these all appear to be AI generated.
