Internship Program

I’m passionate about helping college students move from the classroom to the workforce. Throughout my collegiate life I was frequently turned down for internships because of my school schedule and for job opportunities because of my lack of experience, and I had experience. I had been doing website development since 1994, SEO since 1996, and had ran 2 tech startup companies. I know first hand how incredibly frustrating the process of getting a job during college or after is.

The field of marketing, especially digital marketing, has gotten incredibly competitive in the past several years. As has related fields such as public relations, advertising, and journalism. To stand out as a college graduate you’ll need a variety of skills that you’re unlikely to learn in the classroom.

We have spent years working on building a robust internship program to help students gain real-world work experience across disciplines and digital platforms. My past interns have gone on to work at places like Sony, Google, Hershey’s, and various marketing agencies.

Our internships are built to be flexible with your schedule, while still teaching you valuable real-world skills. With as little as 1 hour per week or as much as 4 days a week, our internship programs are built to work with you and make you the best job applicant when you graduate. We offer internships on Social Media Marketing, SEO, Journalism, and Public Relations out of our Dallas, TX office. Many of our internships come with certifications and paid online training from various providers.

Our internship programs are broken down into 3 different levels representing the amount of time and commitment and difficulty.

Level 1 – Introduction to core concepts, hands on experience with basic implementation

Level 2 – Expansion of core concepts, introduction to higher-level concepts, hands on experience with more advanced implementations

Level 3 – Expansion of higher-level concepts, managerial experience, work on actual client accounts, create and run marketing campaigns across platform and discipline, publish content (for marketing internships),

One Hour a Week Internships

These internships are available to busy students who want to gain experience but feel like they don’t have the time. They require at least 1 hour per week of dedicated time coming to / video conferencing our office for training. Most often our interns in these programs commute to the office once every week (we have a set intern meeting at 1pm on Fridays), but some live in areas where physically commuting is impossible and telecommute instead for one hour of training and collaboration with their teams.

While this is called the ‘One hour a week’ internship, we expect each student will commit extra time to complete their tasks at home and in driving. On average interns in this program will spend between 6 and 10 hours per week training, working, and commuting.

Time commitment: 6 to 10 hours
