The Moz Link Explorer tool is part of Moz’s all-in-one SEO tool suite. The tool is a new, improved, and beefed up version of their old link analysis tool Open Site Explorer, the tool that essentially launched Moz as a SaaS company from an SEO agency. Link Explorer was launched nearly a decade after Moz’s first tool, OSE and at launched showcased a link database that was 20 times larger and 30 times fresher than its predecessor. Link Explorer also has several new features including the ability to track links, the ability to see who links to your competitors site/page but not you, and a historical record of links to track new and lost links. The new UX makes finding data and insights a breeze and it loads incredibly fast. If you’re a Moz user already the tool isn’t referred to by its name inside of the suite of tools where it is simply labeled “Link Research”.
